Powerhouse Retail Leader, Bob Mariano, and Web Security Expert, Stuart Scholly, Join InContext Solutions’ Board of Directors

CHICAGO -- January 23, 2017 -- InContext Solutions, a global leader in virtual reality (VR) solutions for retailers and manufacturers, today announced that Bob Mariano, innovative retail leader and founder of Mariano’s grocery chain, and Stuart Scholly, Senior Vice President and General Manager at Akamai Technologies, have been named to InContext’s board of directors. 

Mariano has long been considered the industry’s authority on retail shopping experiences. With 49 years in grocery leadership, the centerpiece of his career was the introduction of the fast-growing Mariano’s Fresh Market in 2010. Today, the stores are known as Mariano’s, a strategically unique grocery banner offering a highly differentiated shopping experience.

Mariano retired as the Chairman and CEO of Roundy’s, Inc., a leading Midwest grocery retailer with over $4 billion in annual sales, in September 2016 after merging Roundy’s with Kroger.  Prior to Roundy’s he was the CEO of Dominick’s Finer Foods and grew the company to a top performing regional supermarket chain with 115 stores, taking it public until Safeway bought the company in 1998. 

Stuart Scholly is the Senior Vice President and General Manager of the web security business at Akamai Technologies. In his role, he oversees development of web application firewall, bot management and other security solutions for  The Akamai Intelligent Platform™, a cloud-based platform for securely distributing and accelerating web content and other internet-facing applications.
